She taught in public school for more than a decade and completed another ten years in a private Christian school teaching literature, writing, and the arts. She spent eight years as a drama teacher and successfully produced more than a dozen plays. She survived twenty years as a youth minister. She has a Bachelor’s in Education and a Master’s in Divinity with a focus on writing and youth ministry.
