El Chay

"I make a decree that in all my royal dominion, people are to tremble and fear before the God of Daniel, for he is the living God, enduring forever; his kingdom shall never be destroyed, and his dominion shall be to the end."

Daniel 6:26.

El Chay is a Hebrew phrase that means "Living God." It is one of the most common names for God in the Old Testament. The name El Chay is used to distinguish Israel's God from the false gods of other nations. It describes the God who created the heavens and the earth and is the source of all life. El Chay also goes culture and time, speaking to people through His word and walking with them through their struggles.

Our God, the Living God, is real and powerful. When we acknowledge Him as El Chay, we understand that all the little gods with a lowercase "g"—the wood and stone idols of the past and the entertainments and temptations of today—are not worthy of worship. The little gods cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot move by themselves.

This name sets Israel's God apart from the false gods of the surrounding nations. Unlike the other idols, the Living God is Himself eternal. We live because He lives. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. "Before  long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live." John 14:19.

As we live and breathe, the Living God is watching over us.

We can stand firm in our faith that He is our Wonderful Creator, our Lord of Lords, and King of Kings. Who's way-Yahweh
